Ruzz TV’s Key Technology for Broadcasters Brings New Dimension to OpenTV Offering
Ruzz TV, a leading provider of broadcast workflow automation, announced today that it has been acquired by the OpenTV Corporation, a NASDAQ listed company.
OpenTV is one of the world’s leading providers of advanced digital television solutions dedicated to creating and delivering compelling viewing experiences to consumers of digital content worldwide. The company’s software has been integrated in more than 111 million devices around the world, and enables enhanced program guides, video-on-demand, personal video recording, enhanced television, interactive and addressable advertising and a variety of enhanced television applications.

Ruzz TV was founded in 1999 by Robert Rutherford and is based in Sydney, Australia. Mr. Rutherford will continue as MD and CTO with Ruzz TV following the acquisition. Ruzz TV will continue to operate as it has done for the last 10 years out of its offices in Sydney.
